3.3 Team Autonomy
These techniques contribute to the autonomy of the microservice team.
A microservice team has the responsibility for the whole life cycle of a microservice, including deployment and (parts of the) operation (L8). In comparison to classical monoliths, this requires more knowledge within a microservice team (L17, L12).
Microservice Characteristic
The distinguishing microservice characteristic is the autonomy of the microservice team. The main focus is fostering the autonomy of the microservice team by aggregating the knowledge in the team to foster an autonomous life cycle of the microservice.
